    PE JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
The PE Junior Golf Program serves as an introduction to the game of golf.  This program is offered as a segment in the student's existing PE curriculum.  The PE Junior Golf Program format is flexible in order to adjust to the differences between schools and grades.  A typical PE Junior Golf Program curriculum cycle involves four sessions for each class.  The goal of the foundation in this junior golf program is to provide each student with approximately 2 hours of golf instruction.  Students learn life skills along with golf skills.  Generally the PE Junior Golf Program follows the curriculum of the National School Junior Golf Program.  These classes are hosted inside the school's gym utilizing custom equipment for student's safety and ease of learning.

To date nearly 2,500 students have participated in our PE Junior Golf Program and many have made the step to the After School Junior Golf Program and Junior Golf Programs at Local Courses.

AFTER SCHOOL JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
The After School Junior Golf Program is an extension of the PE Junior Golf Program which offers extended golf instruction and life skills.  The After School Junior Golf Program offers two sessions per week over a 4 week period, 12 hours of golf instruction.  During the After School Junior Golf Program, students transition from custom equipment to traditional equipment based on golf skill and life skill levels.  The After School Junior Golf Program can be offered in both the gym or on school grounds depending on weather conditions.

To date over 100 students have participated in the After School Junior Golf Program.

    SCHOOL CLUB JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
The Foundation offers a continuum of programs which provide youth with practice, play and competitive opportunities.  The School Club Junior Golf Program offers participants with an opportunity for continuing the life skills training while allowing them to test their golf skills with on course play and golf tournament competition.  We schedule junior golf matches between schools, whenever possible, which is an excellent means for introducing golf tournaments to youth.  This program is offered in the spring or fall months to coincide with the school's athletic calendar.  The School Club Junior Golf Program requires the cooperation of a nearby golf course which supports the goals of the Northwest Junior Golf Foundation.

The Northwest Junior Golf Foundation is dedicated to the continued golf instruction and life skills education of its junior golf program participants beyond the school environment offered through the In School Junior Golf Programs.  In achieving this goal, the Northwest Junior Golf Foundation will continue to incorporate local golf courses and professionals as required to offer an extensive continuum of junior golf programming.  These junior golf programs will provide golf instruction for all levels of expertise, beginner to advanced players.  In addition, these junior golf programs will offer golf skills instruction as well as on course instruction, play and competition.

We currently have 40 students involved in the Snoqualmie Middle School Club Junior Golf Program.

LIFE SKILLS
The Northwest Junior Golf Foundation Life Skills experience is one of the unique features that differentiates the Foundation from many other successful junior golf programs.

With Life Skills, students learn valuable lessons that apply to golf and the rest of life. Some topics include: the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences; how to define and set goals. They are taught through golf-related exercises with the primary goal of having fun.

The Foundation also emphasizes 9 core values as a way to help young people on the road to success. They are:

    • Honesty
    • Integrity
    • Sportsmanship
    • Respect
    • Confidence
    • Responsibility
    • Perseverance
    • Courtesy
    • Judgment
